How to: Simple Leather Eyeglass Case

December 16th, 2010 No comments

Laura Bennett, a finalist on “Project Runway,” was on the CBS Early Show this morning showing how to make a simple eyeglass case.

The 3M adhesive transfer tape that Laura used on the leather eyeglass case was purchased from DrillSpot.com.

While in the clip above she mentions that she used really wide double stick tape on the flap, the product she purchased from DrillSpot.com was the 3M 465 1 1/2 inch Adhesive Transfer Tape.

She also says that we are one of her favorite online websites! Thank you so much for the shout out Laura!

For instructions on how to make the eyeglass case, visit the CBS Early Shows Website for written instructions as well as links to the other websites from which Laura purchased her materials.

August 23rd, 2010 No comments

This has been yet another great year for DrillSpot.com. As of today we are a proud member of the 2010 Inc 500 list!

Every year Inc Magazine compiles a list of the fastest growing, privately held companies in the US. We are honored to now be listed with companies like Zappos, Zipcar, Oracle, E*Trade and many, many more.

From 2006 to 2009 DrillSpot.com grew sales by 918% which put us at #323 on the 2010 Inc 500 list. We are also listed at #12 in our industry!

I have been with DrillSpot since day one (launched on November 8th, 2005) and I am so incredibly proud to be part of a company who has grown so much over the past 5 years in such a tough economy. I cannot wait to see where we will be next year and beyond.

Letter and a Dollhouse

March 26th, 2010 No comments

The old adage used to be “my dog ate my homework.” Now that phrase seems to be heading toward “my daughter drew all over the box,” or at least that is what our customers are telling us.

One of our customers recently had to return a Broan fan he purchased from us. Unfortunately his 4 year old daughter got a hold of the box first and made it into a dollhouse, complete with a door and covered in jewels. We were able to work with him, and allow him to return the fan in a new box. In return, he was gracious enough to send us a picture of the beautiful dollhouse that his daughter created.
